WHO IS THE DIGITAL YOGI

I am passionately curious about the Human Experience and our relationship with technology.

Hey there! My name is Alexis Irias. Some people call me Lex – I dig it.
I’m a hybrid digital marketer with experience in brand strategy and UX/UI design. Additionally, I’ve been studying yoga, meditation, and Buddhism for more than 8 years.
With a combined passion for technology and mindfulness, my goal is to promote a positive balance between the two a.k.a Digital Wellness.

Through more than 10 years of working in tech, I’ve learned how behavioral design is used to attract and retain users on digital platforms. This sparked a passionate curiosity about our digital behaviors, both positive and negative, and led me to ask “who’s on the other side of this?” As tech companies downgrade us through digital distractions, digital dementia, and digital deduction, it’s more important than ever we advocate for digital wellness.

I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Behavioral Health with a concentration in Addiction Counseling. I have two goals with this program, to become a Therapist focused on Technology Addiction and work with kids and teens, and offer Mental Health Services in Spanish on a sliding scale.

My mission is to better understand how technology affects mental health and society, and through this understanding, uncover how we can live a balanced life within a highly-digital world. I’m bringing this mission to life through, Digitally Aware, as I collect data through online discussions and my coaching program.

A few things I’m great at

I’m a multi-passionate individual.

BRANDING & DESIGN

Taking a simple concept to a beautiful online experience is one of my favorite things to do. What does your brand look, sound, and feel like?

ENVIRONMENT DESIGN

As an embodied cancerian woman (sun & moon) with a libra rising (a love for aesthetics) I’m naturally intune with spacial energy. In combining this intuitive nature with my studies in behavioral health along with feng shui, flow theory, and enviroment design, I’m reinventing home/work spaces for an optimal life.

MINDFUL MARKETING

I host online marketing classes that incorporate embodiment practices to help keep us energized and positive as we learn something new.

DIGITAL WELLNESS

Feeling stuck to your device? No worries, you’re not alone and I can help. In our coaching sessions we bring conscious awareness to our digital behaviors, discover the underlying triggers, and work on turning values into time.

The universe exists only through a constant dance of consistency and change. Through consistency, consciousness finds meaning; through change it finds stimulation and expansion. To find consistency within change is to embrace the unfolding flow.

It is by being fully involved with every detail of our lives, whether good or bad, that we find happiness, not by trying to look for it directly.

Socially, we see that close friendships are the bedrock of our psychological and physical health. Loneliness, according to researchers, is more dangerous than obesity. But, of course, we can’t cultivate close friendships if we’re constantly distracted.
